Payment requests
A clear request.
A checked destination.
Validate the receiving address, prepare a Bitcoin payment URI and create a QR code that another wallet can read.
Create a payment requestValidate the address and network
Start with the address validator and select the intended Bitcoin network. Format and checksum validation can catch some errors. It does not prove that the recipient controls the address, that it is safe to pay, or that a particular wallet supports it.
Prepare a Bitcoin URI
The payment URI generator accepts a public receiving address and supported optional fields such as amount and label. Review the generated request, including the address and amount, before sharing it. A payment request describes a desired payment; it does not authorize or send funds.
Create and test the QR code
The QR payment generator represents the request as a scannable code locally. Test it with a compatible wallet and compare the decoded destination and amount with your original request. A readable QR code is a data format, rather than an ownership or trust check.
Keep public and secret information separate
Share a receiving address or payment request when necessary. Never include a seed phrase, WIF key, extended private key or backup passphrase. Even public addresses can reveal activity: request only the payment information the recipient needs.
Review before sending
The payer should verify the destination, amount and network in their own wallet. QBitcoin’s payment tools do not sign or send a payment. To inspect public activity afterward, open the Bitcoin explorer; remember that one address is not the whole wallet.
